Virgil's Plant Shop

My bestie and myself went to Virgil's today because of a TikTok she came across and I have to say it did not disappoint. What a plant store! I'm in love and it has ruined ALL other plant shops for me. Love love this place, the selection is massive and the staff are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and super friendly. both of us got a plant, we got to do a scavenger hunt and both got little prizes which was such a cute touch! We even "earned" a polaroid photo! This became a new core memory for us. Please go support this local KC business! I do not know a ton about plants but have really started to love this journey and I can see that this place is going to teach me a ton! Also, all of the plants you can tell are very happy and very well taken care of in this store. I can't wait until my next visit.

We stopped by on a whim the other day and were blown away by this place. The vibes and plant selection were awesome, but the best part was the people working there! Everyone was so helpful and kind. We bought two plants and chose planters, and they repotted them for free! They gave us lots of care tips about the specific plants we selected and a bonus polaroid of us with our new plants. This was such a great experience, we can't wait to go back!!

5 star, 10/10, all the praises!! We visited for the first time today and I will be a repeat shopper guaranteed. The shop is super cute, organized, and the staff was beyond amazing. The owner helped us out and you can tell they love what they do. I came hoping to find a begonia maculata and they had some which were a good price already but still gave me a discount for the crispy leaf. You won’t be disappointed with this shop💯

Genuinely love Virgil’s. I have been a plant mom to a lot of different species for a very long time and I’ve done well on my own, but Virgil’s has definitely helped expand my knowledge and their repotting soil has my plant babies thriving. Things that have always been healthy but never grew are now growing. Plants that have almost died have come back to life with new growth. Their plant pricing is some of the most reasonable I’ve seen in KC and the plants that come out of their store are happy & healthy, making care & maintenance that much easier. I’ve also gotten some of the cutest pots there. I can’t say enough good things about all of their staff and the owner.. also kind, helpful, and ready to chat about whatever. The store aesthetic is adorable and welcoming.

Virgil’s has the widest selection of house plants I’ve found in KC, accompanied by outstandingly kind and caring staff. I just moved here and have looked into a few different local plant stores and Virgil’s stands out by a long shot. The staff there treat your plants with the same care and energy you’d want a pediatrician to give your first born. This store is my happy place, so if you live close enough go give them a look (and potentially all of your money if you’re a plant lover like me).
